CCL Interiors Ltd
CCL Interiors Ltd, the large interior trades contractor, has installed a VJ iStore®, the unique, on-site procurement solution from VJ Technology that is designed to reduce costs, improve cash flow and productivity, whilst limiting the impact of deliveries on the environment.

Challenge
CCL Interiors Ltd, the large interior trades contractor, was awarded the contract for the installation of partitions and ceilings at the Loft Lines development in Belfast. A key challenge for CCL was maintaining the commitment to its sustainability strategy on this 3.8 acre site, building 778 sustainable homes with daily deliveries to site.
Solution
In November 2024 CCL installed a VJ iStore®, the unique, onsite procurement solution from VJ Technology, designed to reduce costs, improve cashflow and productivity, whilst limiting the impact of deliveries on the environment.
The secure by design VJ iStore® is powered by the patented Opus software from Sellfware Technology Ltd, the software arm of VJ Technology Group.
Opus brings a warehouse to any construction site (literally) in bespoke modular shipping containers to act as vending machines, so fast-paced infrastructure projects can be fed a constant supply of their most used products that can be clicked and collected in a matter of minutes directly on-site at the point of need.
Products are available 24/7 which in turn increases productivity significantly and are only paid for once they have been collected, positively impacting cashflow. It is replenished once every 10 to 14 days as managed by the active stock control system resulting in reduced emissions from daily deliveries to site. Other benefits include: reduction in process cost; 24/7 access to products, reduced loss, and theft from busy sites; no delivery delays; less issues with site restrictions for deliveries.
Results
Opus has been revolutionary for CCL, contributing to a reduced environmental impact, improved product availability and reduced downtime.
Environmental Impact:
CCL has been able to maintain its commitment to its sustainability strategy by minimising supply chain emissions and delivery service mileage. Using an Opus-secure container has resulted in a reduction in deliveries, whilst maintaining a high level of customer service. This simple but effective approach aligns with CCL’s commitment to reducing their own but also the supply chain carbon footprint.
Product Availability:
The solution enables 300 leading items to be held on site for use by CCL. Items are easily accessible for contractors, eliminating delays and keeping the project on schedule, plus it also reduces back-office work for the procurement team.
About the company
Established in 1974 by Shaw Montgomery senior, our company originally installed suspended ceilings in Belfast under the name Contract Ceilings Ltd. Over time, we branched out into a wide range of other interior fit-out solutions and construction services to meet our customers’ needs. And as we moved into markets in the mainland UK, we decided to reflect our growth and diversification by rebranding to CCL Interiors 2012.
The company is now under the stewardship of Shaw Montgomery Senior’s sons – Andrew and Shaw Junior – who have pushed the company to greater heights. Andrew has been a valued member of CCL Interiors for over 30 years. His talents as a construction contractor and sense for good business helped make him Director in 1997. From here, he has overseen our ongoing success. Shaw Junior joined in 2002 with plenty of experience in construction. He too earned his place as Director in 2005, and has driven continued growth in the UK mainland, drawing from his time studying and working in Scotland.
